Villa Hügel and park closed from December 22, 2025 to January 12, 2026 for cleaning and repair work
Villa Hügel will be closed to the general public from Monday, December 22, 2025 up to and including Monday, January 12, 2026 due to repair and cleaning work. The closure affects the Main House, the Krupp Historical Exhibition in the Small House and the park.
In the new year, visitor operations will resume on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 with adjusted admission and guided tour prices. In favour of young visitors, who will benefit from free admission up to the age of 18 starting in January, and due to increased energy costs, regular ticket prices will be €8 and reduced tickets €5. Reduced tickets are available to school pupils, students, people with a disability rating of 50 % or more, as well as recipients of ALG I or citizens’ benefit (Bürgergeld) upon presentation of their benefit notice.
In 2026, the Krupp Foundation will continue its visitor-oriented programme from the previous year. Information on this will be available on the website starting in January.
