The Krupp Foundation is supporting the Beethovenfest Bonn’s comprehensive education and outreach programme
With its return to the refurbed Beethovenhalle, the Beethovenfest Bonn will start a special festival season on 3 September 2026 under the theme ‘Home’. The programme, running until 3 October, features around 80 concerts at the Beethovenhalle and at a further 25 venues across Bonn and the Rhein-Sieg district. World-class international orchestras, renowned soloists, innovative concert formats and the free-to-attend ‘Festival Salon’ invite audiences to experience music from a variety of perspectives.
The festival is complemented by an extensive educational and outreach programme, funded by the Krupp Foundation. Through this, the Beethovenfest aims to create new ways of engaging with music, to appeal to a diverse range of audiences, and to encourage active participation in the festival.
The programme includes open workshops for all age groups as well as bookable activities for schools. Topics range from ‘learning to moderate’ and discovering classical music together with the London Symphony Orchestra to attending rehearsals and concerts.
On the first two Saturdays of the festival, the open-access formats ‘Bühne frei’ and ‘Halle frei für Beethoven’ also invite children, young people and adults to get involved and help shape the festival.
Participation in the workshops and the open-access stage events is free of charge.
